A few years ago I traded in my Boston accent and moved half way across the country to an eclectic Midwest college town with my boyfriend Matt.

Somewhere between the farms and cornfields and my decision to give up years of vegetarianism I realized that I needed a change.

After making a few wrong turns, I eventually paved my way towards a healthier lifestyle. Through a balanced diet and the exploration of exercise I lost 60 pounds and fell in love with life.

I realized my dream of pursuing a career in the Park and Recreation field, became a swim coach, and allowed yoga to transform my life as I embarked on a 9 month journey towards becoming a yoga teacher.

Now it’s all about celebrating.

When we aren’t turning our passions into our careers Matt and I are spending time with our Dachshunds Ernie and Ollie, laughing our way through recipes in the kitchen, or planning our next trip to a local brewery.

And if all else fails, you can find me in the aisles of the Barnes and Noble travel section mapping my next rendezvous.

Come and share your passions with me!
